What's it all about?

Jupiter Creek Farm is a 64-acre organic farm (pre certification) located in the beautiful Chapel Hill (Echunga) region of the Adelaide Hills, half an hour southeast of Adelaide.

The farm partners /founders are Judith & Sven Zehle, Simon Martin, Kelly & Simon Jones and Kelly McKinley. With help from international WWOOFers and farm employees, the farm currently produces a diversity of vegetables year-round. The farm also grazes a herd of beef cattle and is anticipating a variety of other farmyard beauties as we mature.

Jupiter Creeks system includes: growing and marketing; using cover crops that fix nitrogen and provide organic matter for the soil; biodynamic composting methods, developing innovative marketing strategies; and planting habitat areas for beneficial insects and wildlife and multi-farm networking and farm internships. This set of strategies allows the farm to integrate farm production with longer-term social and environmental goals.

Jupiter Creeks products are sold at farmers markets and through a Community Supported Agriculture project, or CSA. Both the CSA and the farmers markets forge a direct connection between the farm, farmers and the people who buy and eat its produce. Through the CSA, individuals can receive a weekly share of produce throughout the year sourced both from Jupiter Creek Farm and other local organic growers as we operate under a multi-farm CSA model. By belonging to the CSA, members support organic farming practices that are healthful for both people and the environment. They also have the opportunity to eat the freshest, most nutritional produce available.

CSA members receive boxes of fresh produce delivered to convenient neighborhood locations around Adelaide.
